Dance school “Swing” was founded in 1989 with the aim of popularization of dance and dance culture in our surroundings. An active member of PSS (Dance Association of Serbia), IDSF (International Dance Sport Federation), IDO (International Dance Organization) and SAPO (Serbian Association of Dancing Organizations), within which it gains the right to participate in domestic and international competitions. It is a member of the Sports Association of the city of Nis as well as the Sports Association of Serbia. Sports results are only one reason for its success. In its long history of competition, dance school “Swing” counts 19 victories on international tournaments. The best results are it has ranked eight on the World Championship in Latin Dances and third in Europe for Latin Show. It also possesses over 130 gold medals.
Among dances offered at our school are: Salsa, Argentine tango, Classic Dance, Dance Sport dances (Latin and Ballroom dances), Show dance, Reggaeton, Disco dance, Hip Hop, Oriental dance, Axé capoeira, preschool dance lessons, wedding dance lessons.
There is a dance theatre at school which gathers the best dancers from all disciplines to dance in mini dance shows: Rome Show, The Lotus of Egypt Show, Belly Dance “Isis’ Wings” Show, etc.
Dance school “Swing” is an active participant of charity concerts, festivals and shows (Serbia in the rhythm of Europe, May Song Contest, Fashion Week, Mediana Fest, Sports and Dance Fair, National Theatre in Nis, Zdravko Colic’s concert, Film Festival in Nis).
Organization of educational seminars:
Kizomba, Salsa, Argentine tango, Contemporary, International seminar for Latin dances, organizers for Social dances for Dance Sport dances as well as Street Dances.
The staff are highly educated; they are also nationally and internationally recognized dance instructors.
